New New Apple Release Date and Video Showcases Cheap iPhone 7 Clone Based on ‘Genuine Casing’ By Gamzeozgesaroglu

The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus have leaked so many times this month that there is little left to know about them. Perhaps, the only thing unknown about the handsets were its release date which has now been leaked by prolific leaker @evleaks.

As per @evleaks, Apple will be releasing the new iPhones in the week starting September 12th. Given that the Cupertino company usually releases new iPhones on Friday, we are likely looking at a release date of 16th September for the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. This pegs the unveiling event of the device to take place in the week beginning 5th September.

According to Evan Blass (aka @evleaks), who is usually very reliable when it comes to these things, the next generation iPhones will be launched in the week starting September 12. Since Apple loves to start selling iPhones on Fridays, we might be looking at a September 16 release date. Obviously, at the moment, we can't really confirm anything.

As you'll notice, Evan Blass isn't using the iPhone 7 name when mentioning the upcoming iPhones. That's because Apple may not want to use the name for this year's iPhones, instead going with something like iPhone 6x (where x could mean almost anything). It's said that the 2016 iPhone models won't be significantly different from the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, as major changes are seemingly saved for the 2017 iPhones, which should come with a completely overhauled design, and important new features.

This latest video, published by BeSound, shows us exactly what we’ve been seeing for quite awhile now, but without any kind of hidden agenda. The video points out, right away, that the “iPhone 7” on display isn’t a working unit, but is actually a clone built up with parts that cost upwards of $150. The clones aren’t anything new for manufacturers in China, and, as is part for the course, there’s no real telling whether or not the iPhone 7 clone units we’ve been seeing are representative of what’s actually coming down the pipe, or just creations based on the plethora of rumors swirling around.

In this particular case, though, the iPhone 7 clone here is said to be designed from a “real iPhone 7” the manufacturer was able to get their hands on. They’re not able to show the real deal, though, so the clone is going to have to do for now.

That isn’t to say that these clones can’t be accurate, and, especially in the most recent years, some of them have indeed put together devices that are quite similar to the actual device. Still, keep the salt shaker handy as you watch the video below.
